Celebrating the first anniversary of the Unified Patent Court (UPC)

June 1st marked the first anniversary of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), and at Brinkhof and our UPC partner Vossius (known as VOSSIUS&BRINKHOF), we are proud to have been involved from the very beginning. In fact, we have the honor of handling the very first official case before the UPC!

Over the past year, we have represented clients across a wide range of industries, including biotech, ICT, chemistry, and civil engineering. Our cases have been heard by local divisions in Hamburg, Mannheim, Munich, Düsseldorf, and The Hague, as well as the central division and the court of appeal.

Some notable cases include representing Agfa against Gucci, Oppo against Panasonic, CCV against Nokia and Iscar against Walter. We also handle PI cases in Hamburg for Ballinno against the UEFA and Kinexon, and in The Hague for Amycel against Spyra.

Upcoming Representation at the Unified Patent Court (UPC)
This week Brinkhof will be representing Amgen at the oral hearing in a revocation action against Sanofi and Regeneron before the Munich central division.
