Fleur Folmer partner at Brinkhof

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that Fleur Folmer will join Brinkhof from October 2023. Fleur will become a partner in the Trade Marks and Designs (TMD) practice group and brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in this area.

Fleur has worked in NautaDutilh’s intellectual property (IP) practice group for the past 20 years, where she has shown herself to be a leading expert in her field. Her dedication to her clients and her ability to handle complex and challenging cases have earned her a great reputation as a lawyer in intellectual property law. Fleur is a valuable addition our TMD team. Her expertise, international experience and network will help strengthen our position as a leading firm in the field of trademarks and design. For Fleur, her move to Brinkhof means a choice for a firm where IP is one of the core activities and where she can fully develop her practice.

Fleur’s practice focuses on trademarks, design, trade and domain names. Fleur advises and litigates on all aspects of these, both before the judicial and administrative authorities in the Netherlands and in the European Union. Fleur also negotiates IP licences and assists clients with product and brand launches. Fleur serves national and international clients in various sectors, including fashion, fast-moving consumer goods, electronics, retail and luxury. Fleur also advises financial institutions on IP aspects specific to that sector, such as the vesting of security rights on IP rights. Fleur also regularly assists parties as to transactions in which IP plays a key role, such as IP-driven mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments and private equity investments.

In addition to her work in the legal profession, Fleur is also active in various professional associations, such as the International Trademark Association (INTA) in which she participates (regularly as chair) in committees, the Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law (BMM) and the Copyright Association (VvA). Fleur is also one of the authors of the standard reference work “Tekst & Commentaar Intellectuele Eigendom”.
